To create portrait art the clothing is very important, but very simple.  Everyone must wear solid colors, no design of any kind (not even a single stripe around the chest).  It is also important for the clothing to be either 3/4 length sleeves or long sleeves, the artist prefers long sleeves.  Long sleeve gray or black turtle necks are perfect, but sweatshirts or sweaters work well also.
